Joseph Wayne McVey (born January 19, 1977), better known by his stage names Z-Ro and The Mo City Don, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. Gone were the hair-raising lyrics of Geto Boy cuts like "Born Killer" and "Hand of the Dead Body," replaced by much milder lyrics in titles like "What Can I Do?" and "Guess Who's Back," the latter of which featured guest vocals by rap superstar Jay-Z. Called The Fix, and distributed by Universal, the album represented a departure for the rapper.

His second solo album, II Trill, arrived in May of the next year. Tragedy struck in late 2007 when Pimp C died suddenly, leaving Bun B to return to a solo career. With Pimp C seeing early release in late 2005, Bun B returned to UGK and a self-titled double album from the duo dropped in 2007. Bun B carried on solo, making numerous appearances on other artists' tracks and then in 2005 releasing both the mixtape Legends and his debut album, Trill, a Top Ten hit.
Things came to halt in 2003 when Pimp C was sentenced to eight years in prison on an aggravated gun assault charge. Bun B formed the side project Mddl Fngz in 2000, but his main concern was still UGK.
